West Hyattsvile Baptist Church Vision 2010

We owe a debt of gratitude to the spiritual leadership which since March 8, 1959, not only constituted West Hyattsville Baptist Church, but allowed God to work through them to establish His witness in this Maryland community.

Over the past few years since Victory Baptist Fellowship joined this congregation, we have endeavored to be faithful stewards, dedicated to expanding our resources for our growing mission and its outreach programs.

As we passionately pursue God’s vision, we choose to devote our time and resources to a vibrant future and have intentionally and deliberately selected to focus our vision on the theme, “Celebrate the Faith” of past, present and future generations.

This three-year capital campaign, drawn from Hebrews 11-13, will challenge us spiritually and financially to answer the call of building God’s kingdom in this corner of Hyattsville.

Spiritually, we will encourage appropriate actions to develop a strong personal faith by practicing one or more of the faith disciplines. Financially, it will be a time of paying attention to our 48-year-old facility with the aim of supporting its expansion and beautification for the enhancement of God’s work.

We are not called to contentment and comfort. We are agents of transformation, convinced that people who actually practice their Christian faith find out that it works in every situation.

You can help by praying that the grace of God may unite us in our commitment to draw people to a saving knowledge of Christ so that their lives may be transformed, enriched and empowered.

Our Goal

The goal of our capital campaign is to raise $500,000 that will be stretched over three years, beginning September 2007 and ending August 2010. This amount will help secure funding for the first phase of our Master Plan focusing on the following:

Infant & Nursery facilities
Handicapped facility
Elevator
Additional classrooms
Additional restrooms
Young Adult Center
